Delegates from the General Sports Administration of China visited NSA

21 September 2011 Delegates from the General Sports Administration of China visited NSA Officials from the Chinese General Administration of Sport visited the National Sports Academy (NSA) on 20 September, 2011. They were warmly met by Assoc. Prof. Pencho Geshev, Vice-Rector of Educational Affairs and Prof. Daniela Dasheva, Vice-Rector of European Integration and International Relations of NSA. During the conversation the guests acquired information about the NSA experience in enrolling and educating elite athletes. In order to ensure them opportunity for dual career, the NSA provides excellent conditions for both training and education. The delegation led by Mr. Gao Zhidan, Director of Directorate “Human Recourses” of the General Sports Administration, Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Olympic Committee, demonstrated interest in the mechanisms of the Bulgarian government to encourage and support elite athletes in their career development. Assoc. Prof. Geshev explained the two forms of education of elite athletes at the Academy – individual plan and individual studying – that best fit the needs of their training process. Prof. Dasheva underlined the good tradition in the relations between the NSA and Chinese Universities among which is Chengdu Sport University. She expressed the will of the NSA Rector’s Board to expand the co-operation. The guests were invited to visit the forthcoming international scientific congresses “Olympic Sport and Sport for All” and “Sport, Stress, Adaptation”, that will mark the NSA 70th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2012.
