Representatives of the Italian football club „Cagliari Calcio“ visited NSA

17 October 2025 On October 16, 2025, the academic leadership of the National Sports Academy held a working meeting with representatives of the Italian football club „Cagliari Calcio“. The visit was on the occasion of signing a cooperation agreement between the club, the school football club „Botev Sofia“, and several Sofia schools with which the NSA maintains active cooperation — the 57th Sports School „St. Naum of Ohrid“ and the Private Secondary School „Pythagor“. The Vice-Rector Prof. Nikolay Izov and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports, Assoc. Prof. Emil Atanasov, introduced the guests to the activities and the educational-sports facilities of the NSA „Vasil Levski“, whose high level they were able to witness personally during their visits to the athletics hall, stadiums, and sports fields on the NSA campus. Marco Marchi — manager of Cagliari XPlay, Alessandro Calia — vice president of the Sardinian Association in Bulgaria „Circolo Sarda ‘Sardica’“, Oscar Eriu — director of the „Cagliari Calcio“ academy, Krasimir Parvanov — president of SFC „Botev Sofia“, Georgi Seizov — director of the 57th Sports School „St. Naum of Ohrid“, Mihail Krustev — principal of the Private Secondary School „Pythagor“, Asen Aleksandrov — director, and Asen Markov — sports manager of the same school, visited the Educational and Olympic Center, where they learned important facts about the history and mission of the National Sports Academy. Earlier, the Italian representatives held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Dimitar Georgiev, which was also attended by H.E. Marcello Apicella, Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Bulgaria. |
