Prof. Krassimir Petkov congratulated the BVF and the national volleyball team on their outstanding success at the World Championship

Professor Krassimir Petkov, Rector of the NSA „Vasil Levski“, sent a congratulatory address to the President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation, Lyubomir Ganev, the entire coaching staff, and the players of the national team on the occasion of their remarkable achievement at the World Championship.

„The inspiring performance at the championship in the Philippines is the result of the BVF’s long-standing efforts to popularize the game in the country and to develop Bulgarian volleyball with a vision and program aligned with the highest standards,“ wrote Prof. Petkov. „Undoubtedly, great credit for the second place at the most prestigious competition of the year goes to all national players, head coach Gianlorenzo Blengini, and the coaching staff. The achievement goes far beyond the boundaries of sporting success, as it managed to unite society and generate tremendous energy — not only in support of the volleyball players and the sport but also in bringing pride and joy to the Bulgarian people.“

Among the silver medalists are six NSA students – Alex Grozdanov, Venislav Antov, Damyan Kolev, Stoil Palev, Georgi Tatarov, and Preslav Petkov.
