Associate Professor Boyan Doychev, Ph.D.

Education and Career

• Graduated with a bachelor's degree from NSA "Vasil Levski" – 2004 with distinction. Professional qualification "Archery Coach" and a second professional qualification "Physical Education Teacher". Earned a master's degree from NSA "Vasil Levski" in 2005. Professional qualification "Master of Physical Education".
• In 2006, won a competitive selection for a regular doctoral program at NSA "Vasil Levski" in the "Sports Medicine" department, "Ecology" sector. Completed a master's degree at Trakia University, Stara Zagora – 2008. Professional qualification "Ecologist – Conservation and Environmental Management".
• In 2011, obtained the educational and scientific degree of "Doctor" in the specialty: 05.07.05 Theory and methodology of physical education and sports training (including Methodology of therapeutic physical culture). Since 2012, he has been an assistant in "Ecology" at NSA "Vasil Levski", and since 2015, a senior assistant. In 2021, he won a competition for the academic position of "associate professor".
• Author of a significant number of scientific and applied scientific publications in Bulgarian and international journals. Participates extensively in scientific forums nationally and internationally, including authoring two monographs and two textbooks (one co-authored). Member of the Bulgarian Association of Geomedicine and Geotherapy (BAGG) and the Bulgarian Scientific Society for Sports Medicine and Kinesiotherapy (BSSSMK), including two monographs, three textbooks (one co-authored).

Teaching Activity

Conducts lectures and seminar exercises on "Ecology" for bachelor's degree students in the faculties of Sport, Pedagogy, and OZZGT, as well as elective modules in the "Master" degree programs.
