Scholarship Program of the Swiss Government

The Swiss Embassy in Bulgaria announces its annual scholarship competition for Bulgarian citizens who have completed higher education, as well as for those wishing to specialize in the arts for the academic year 2025/2026.

The scholarships are awarded by the Swiss federal government.

Opportunities for candidates from Bulgaria are available in four categories:

• Arts – for master’s degree or research in Switzerland for creators/researchers from various fields of art.
• Scientific specialization for Bulgarian doctoral students – for candidates pursuing their doctoral studies in Bulgaria who wish to conduct scientific and/or medical specialization in Switzerland;
• Doctorate at a Swiss university – for candidates with a master's degree who want to pursue a doctorate at a Swiss educational/research institution;
• Postdoctoral research – for candidates who have already obtained a doctoral degree.
