Published on 09 November 2024 The National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" and the Association for the Development of Bulgarian Sports (ADBS) took another significant step toward strengthening their longstanding partnership for the benefit of sports in Bulgaria by signing a cooperation agreement. This document reinforces the achievements made so far and outlines the path for further expansion of their collaboration. The agreement was signed in the Meeting Hall of the Sports Academy by Rector Prof. Krasimir Petkov and Joanna Dochevska, Chairperson of ADBS. NSA professors Assoc. Prof. Stefka Dzhobova and Ivaylo Zdravkov, who are also active members of ADBS, participated in the subsequent meeting. "It is wonderful that we share common values," said Prof. Petkov. "The partnership between the National Sports Academy and the Association for the Development of Bulgarian Sports has strong roots. The results are visible and important for the development of higher education, as well as for the establishment and promotion of new beneficial practices and policies in the work of professionals dedicated to Bulgarian sports and its future." Prospects for new joint initiatives were discussed. "The partnership between NSA and ADBS is fueled by the shared commitment to advancing Bulgarian sports and by the common vision of both organizations. Over the years, it has been supported by Prof. Petkov's mentorship," Dochevska noted. "Many sports specialists – lecturers and students from the Sports Academy – have benefited from training, additional qualifications, and international exchange opportunities that our Association has implemented over the past 15 years." Both organizations express a desire for their shared commitment to expand and enrich these initiatives, ensuring new, better, and more accessible development programs. The essence of the agreement is that NSA and ADBS are focused on investing in human capital. They will continue to work together to create well-coordinated and targeted opportunities to support the future of Bulgarian sports. |
