NSA Welcomes Delegation from Chinese Universities
Published on 28 October 2024 On October 24, the leadership of the National Sports Academy (NSA) and members of the faculty met with representatives from seven Chinese universities and education management structures. The meeting was planned as part of NSA’s international cooperation policy, where developing connections with foreign universities is a strategic priority. NSA’s Rector, Prof. Krasimir Petkov, emphasized in his welcome speech that the friendly relations between Bulgaria and China have been evolving progressively over decades. He noted that partnerships in sports with Chinese organizations are a natural continuation of national-level contacts between the two countries. Bulgarian and Chinese athletes have always enjoyed mutual respect and admiration for the achievements of their coaches, athletes, and sports professionals. Prof. Petkov also highlighted that although our two countries are geographically distant, they are closely connected in spirit, forming a strong foundation for fruitful collaboration in higher education. Prof. Ognyan Miladinov, NSA’s Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs, presented the Academy comprehensively through videos and photos. He also responded to questions from the guests regarding the programs offered at NSA and the Academy’s experience in academic collaboration with Chinese universities. In turn, the guests presented their institutions and shared insights on China’s education and international cooperation policies. They provided information on international student programs and showcased interesting presentations and photos from student and faculty exchanges. The meeting proved productive and engaging for both teams, identifying areas of mutual interest and experience-sharing. The guests expressed admiration for the excellent facilities for theoretical and practical student training at NSA "Vasil Levski" and expressed a desire to establish conditions for long-term, regular exchanges of academic knowledge and expertise in sports education and science. |
