NSA will host a charity football tournament by ASCB
Published on 16 October 2024 The National Sports Academy will host the ninth edition of the charity football tournament for amateur ladies, which will once again support the "Gold" Foundation. The main organizer this time is the Arsenal London Fan Club (ASCB) in Bulgaria. The tournament, aimed at supporting the treatment and care of children with cancer, will take place on November 9 (Saturday) at 10:00 AM in the Multipurpose Hall of NSA "Vasil Levski." The foundation's activities are focused on maintaining a good level of treatment and care for children with cancer in Bulgaria and their families. A special focus is on the long-term follow-up care for the young patients, which is why all funds raised will be allocated for summer camps, one of the most anticipated events in the lives of children who have fought the insidious disease. “It is an exceptional privilege and responsibility for us to support the cause of our friends from the "Gold" Foundation, whose dedication and concern are a true model to follow,” stated Georgi Stefanov, event manager of ASCB. “Over the years, we have managed to raise over 35,000 leva and turn the event into one of the most anticipated in our calendar. For the second year, the tournament will have a purely demonstrative character, allowing each women's team to include a man, a popular media personality. Last year, the green carpet was graced by the legend of Bulgarian punk, Kolyu Gilyana, and actor Yulian Petrov. We want to express our special thanks to the rector of NSA "Vasil Levski," Prof. Krasimir Petkov, and the Academy's management for providing the Multipurpose Hall free of charge for the tournament's needs,” added Georgi Stefanov. During the tournament, every spectator will have the opportunity to purchase items made by the mothers of the children, as well as to support the cause with donations in a specially prepared donation box. Over the years, many companies, such as SILVER COURT, PwC, Deloitte Bulgaria, Reyners Aluminum Bulgaria, and others, have contributed with direct donations to the foundation.
