NSA and the Pirin National Park Directorate Sign a Cooperation Agreement

The rector of the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski," Prof. Krasimir Petkov, and the director of the Directorate of "National Park Pirin," Rosen Banenski, signed a cooperation agreement that regulates future joint activities between the two institutions in the field of sports tourism.

Also participating in the discussions were Prof. Nikolay Izov, Vice-Rector, and Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Panayotov, head of the Department of "Tourism, Climbing, and Orienteering" at NSA, as well as employees from the Directorate of "National Park Pirin"—Pavlina Donevichina, head of the "Biodiversity, Plans, Programs, and Projects" department, and Eng. Raya Lambreva, chief expert.

Among the topics discussed were the opportunities for participation in joint projects and initiatives aimed at the proper management of the national park and its sustainable development. Future activities will be developed based on the established good interaction, which allows the Academy and the Directorate to successfully coordinate and align all sports competitions organized by NSA in the territory of National Park Pirin. The Directorate also assists in the proper management of the "Vihren" lodge, which is an important part of the educational and sports base of the National Sports Academy.
