Published on 22 October 2024 On October 19 and 20, 2024, a tournament for archery titled "Young Archers" was held in Varna, featuring 110 competitors from 14 clubs across the age groups of men and women, youth, cadets, and cadet girls in the divisions of "recurve," "compound," "barebow," and "traditional bow." The archery specialists, led by chief assistant Mihail Otsetov, along with staff from NSA "Vasil Levski," performed excellently, winning 4 gold and 2 silver medals. In the "compound" division, the gold medal was awarded to Zdravko Baldzhiev from SCLS "Titan" (Plovdiv), a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Sports. The team achieved first place and second place individually was earned by Lyubomir Kamishev from SK "Zagorski Strelitz" in the youth category (recurve division); he is a second-year student at the Faculty of Sports. Kalinkà Ivanova from SK "Phoenix Archery," who is involved in organizing training within the departments of "Management and History of Sports" and "Technical and Ice Sports," also claimed victory. In the women's category (recurve division), the gold medal was won by Dobromira Danailova, while Teodora Ivanova, also a competitor from SK "Phoenix Archery" (Sofia), secured second place. |
