Lora Hristova won two titles in the girls' sprints in summer biathlon – part of the Balkan Cup and the Summer National Championship. Both competitions were held consecutively at the Banderishka Polyana area in Bansko. Valentina Dimitrova finished second in both races. Hristova and Dimitrova are gold medalists from the World Summer Biathlon Championship, which recently concluded in Estonia. Both Hristova and Dimitrova are third-year students at the National Sports Academy (NSA). Another NSA student, first-year Biliana Chavdarova, finished third in the girls' category.

In the men's category, Vasil Zashev, a fourth-year student at NSA, finished second behind Moldova's Maksim Makalov. In the youth category, two first-year NSA students, Tsvetan Danadzhiev and Georgi Naumov, finished second and third respectively, with Naumov having claimed first place on the podium the previous day.

The athletes from NSA's Biathlon Sports Club won a total of 17 medals (4 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze) across the different age groups in both competitions. These events marked the end of the summer competition season for the biathletes in Bulgaria, as they now look forward to the winter races.
