The championship, organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), took place in Split, Croatia, from August 1 to 4, 2024, with participants from 14 countries.

The Bulgarian participants performed excellently in both disciplines - "duo hip-hop" and "duo cheer with pom-poms." In the cheerleading "duo hip-hop," the participants were NСA students - Ekaterina Nesheva (Faculty of Public Health, Health Care, and Tourism) and Nicoleta Dimitrova (Faculty of Education), coached by Assoc. Prof. Irina Nesheva, head of the Bulgarian delegation. This format is close to the Olympic level, with some of the biggest powers in the discipline participating - Japan, China, the USA, Taiwan, Australia, Canada, and eight other countries. Each country received a plaque and a certificate of participation.

The participants and their coaches expressed gratitude to AUS "Akademik" and the management of the National Sports Academy for the support provided.
