1. When to Submit the application documents for Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree and Bulgarian language course – in two periods:

• 15 June – 31 July or

• 20 August – 1 September

2. Where to submit the required documents:

• For Bachelor Degree and for Bulgarian language course – floor 1, office 108

• For Master Degree and for Commission for Recognition of Higher Education –floor 4, office 405

3. Required documents for Bachelor’s programmes:

- ID document and a copy

- Secondary education diploma and official transcript (recording the student’s grades) and copy

- Document issued by a competent authority, certifying the applicant's eligibility to continue his studies in higher education institutions of the country where the secondary education is acquired

- A medical certificate (issued no later than 30 days before submission of the application pack)

- 4 recent photos (passport format)

- Document on paid administrative fee (offices 208 or 209, floor 2)

- Application form filled out at the Department of Education (office 108, floor 1)

4. Required documents for Master’s programmes:

• Certificate from the Commission for Recognition of Higher Education in NSA

• A medical certificate (issued no later than 30 days before submission of the application pack)

• ID document and copy

• Document on paid administrative fee

• Application form - floor 4, office 405

Recognition of higher education is carried out in accordance with the qualification degree and specialty certified by the documents. The Commission for recognition of higher education examine all received documents every month. The applicant must present:

1. Original and copy of university diploma or other equivalent document issued by an educational institution - legalized and translated into Bulgarian language.

2. Original and copy of the annex to the diploma or transcript of the records; original and a copy of the European Diploma Supplement (if available) - legalized and translated into Bulgarian.

3. A copy of the ID document. If there is a change in the applicant’s name a document certifying the change must be presented.

4. Copies of documents for any prior education - legalized and translated into Bulgarian

5.Document on paid administrative fee

6. Documents must be legalized in accordance with the provisions of the international treaties of the Republic of Bulgaria and the country in which they are issued, and in the absence of such provisions - as a general procedure adopted for legalization i.e. it is necessary to have an "apostil", to be translated into Bulgarian by a licensed translator and to have certification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.

7. Application form for recognition of higher education.

- Bachelor and Master Degree programmes conducted in Bulgarian language - 3200 EUR/year

- - Bulgarian language course (duration 1 academic year) – 3200 EUR/year

- Bachelor Degree programmes conducted in English language - 4000 EUR/year

*Important:

To obtain a certificate from the Ministry of Education and Science for a visa type “D” takes about 15 days after consideration and approval of the submitted documents in NSA.

Required documents:

1. Documents for enrollment (available in NSA bookstore – floor 1)

2. Life insurance (insurance desk is next to the bookstore – floor 1)

3. Bank receipt for paid fee - 1600 EUR per semester. Candidates with dual citizenship (one of which is Bulgarian) pay half fee (50% from the international students fee) *

4. With the bank receipt you need to go to office 208 or 209 (floor 2) where your student’s book will be stamped.

5. Every new student must undergo a medical examination in office 124, floor 1.

To enroll for the first semester you should visit the Dean's office of the relevant Faculty.
